Oil on canvas. Signed “Max. PF.” on the upper frame of the capital. The still life consists of grapes, pomegranate, and peaches placed on a capital; a silver tray is also present in the composition. In the background, there is a landscape with trees and ruins, and on the left, a glimpse of a cerulean sky, lightly veiled by clouds. Maximilian Pfeiler established himself with his still lifes in which, as a backdrop to the flowers and fruits, he placed an architectural fragment, already introducing that taste towards ancient ruins that would fully consolidate in the 18th century. The painting has been relined and restored (minor retouching). It is presented in a period-style frame.
