Pair of Torchieres Milan, circa 1750.

Pair of candle holders in carved white lacquered and partially gilded Swiss pine wood, supported by a cylindrical rod. Composed of large opposing “C” scrolls, they are carved with curls and foliate motifs, embellished with a flowering branch descending from the upper corolla, a support for the candle. Above the two lights is the plate in perforated and gilded sheet iron. Product condition: Product in good condition, shows minor signs of wear.
