Interesting reliquary, finely chased by craftsmen active in goldsmith workshops of the mid-16th century, probably in Tuscany. The base of the chalice is decorated with elements that refer to the passion of Christ. The central part has elegant vegetal and phytoform elements that intersect. The upper part shows slender, finely fluted columns surmounted by high-quality putti heads. Unfortunately, the object is missing the upper lid and the glass capsule that contained the relic. The height of the object is 33 cm. We attach a certificate of authenticity to the sale.
