Interesting work by the Roman painter Alessandro Biffignandi (Rome 1935/2017) depicting a Sardinian shepherd in front of the fireplace, created in 1976 during a trip to Orgosolo, Sardinia. A film and advertising poster designer, as well as one of the most significant illustrators of the second half of the 20th century, Biffignandi worked with various magazines including Domenica del Corriere. From the early 1970s, he also worked with the publisher Barbieri, becoming one of the most appreciated sexy comic book cover artists in the world. The work measures 100x80 cm, the frame 125x105 cm. On the back, a caption written in his own hand by the author: Authentic and original work by Sandro Biffignandi, student of Annigoni. The work is worth 1,000,000 (one million) executed in Orgosolo/Nuoro summer 1976. Signed in the upper right (photo n°4): it is in excellent condition.
