Another unusual rug from my private collection, this time a saddle from the Persian Gashgai nomads, dating (of course) from two decades before the Islamic revolution. It's simple, sober and elegant, different from the classic polychrome festive saddles of these nomads of central Iran.
In our homes I would see it hanging as a modern work of art, if it is not used on a horse.
