PAIR OF CANDELABRAS WITH VESTALS, MID-19TH CENTURY

Splendid pair of single-light candelabras, with a green Alps marble base and gilded bronze figures depicting vestals, elegantly holding up the lights. The sculptures, with their flowing peplums and elaborate hairstyles, evoke classical art and ancient culture. The bases, embellished with gilded bronze friezes featuring vegetal motifs, add further elegance to the candelabras, also serving as scroll feet. Of Piedmontese manufacture from the mid-19th century, they are objects of great class and sophistication, capable of enriching any environment with their sophisticated style.
