Depicting Giambologna's "Flying Mercury", where Mercury is resting his left foot on the wind generated from the mouth of Zephyr/Aeolus - the god Hephaestus is represented in the octagonal base.
In gilt bronze - mercury gilding, movement with wire suspension.
Early 19th century - Empire period

Measurements: width 29 cm, depth 10 cm, height 40 cm.
