Rare women's wristwatch (manual winding, working), with the splendid geometric shapes typical of the Art Déco period, resembling a car. Made of 18 ct yellow gold (750), it has a white enamel dial with Roman numerals in black enamel and gold hands. Signed Baume & Mercier, Geneva, on both the dial and the case, with the serial number 94546. The watch bears the Swiss hallmark certifying the gold purity and production in the city of Geneva (woman's head, Helvetia, with a small G below) and another unknown hallmark, perhaps the hallmark of the goldsmith who made the case. The (adjustable) strap, in black calfskin, is signed Baume & Mercier, and has an 18-carat gold buckle (750 hallmarked) that reflects the watch's shapes. There is also a black satin strap, also signed Baume & Mercier.
