"...he began his art studies at the Accademia Albertina in Turin in 1878. He perfected his skills in Rome and then in Genoa, where he arrived in 1893. Here he taught at the Accademia Ligustica di Belle Arti and carried out most of his activity. He was a teacher of Dodero, Gaudenzi, Motta and numerous other Ligurian painters. He executed landscapes, seascapes, portraits and allegorical scenes of remarkable evocative power... He also practiced mural painting with great skill (Palazzo Raggio, Villa Bixio, Villa Wilde). He reached high levels of quality in the execution of works depicting mythological, fantastic and female nudes scenes (to which he dedicated long studies and research)... His works are at the Galleria d'Arte Moderna in Genoa Nervi, the Duomo d'Imperia (frescoes), Villa Wilde (corso Firenze), Villa Bixio (Albaro)" [from ottocentoligure.it]
