Born in Messina on November 25, 1828, he is famous for the painting "The Sacrifice of the Camiciotti" (1885).
The artist, supported by the Bourbon Messinese senate during his studies at the Academy of San Luca in Rome and by the municipal council headed by Mayor Cianciafara during his career, also took part in Messinese political life, as a member of the art commission for the Gran Camposanto of Messina, together with Camillo Beccalli, in the 1870s.
His studio was located in via Boccetta.
