Rich polychrome border for this beautiful example of a kilim from the Gashgai nomads of Iran. On a brick-red background, the minute geometric designs feature special colors, especially the blues and light blues obtained using "nil", indigo. The workmanship is dense and accurate, dating back to the Shah Pahlavi period. Measurements: cm. 241 x 146. Perfect for a living room, to be admired.
