Charles X mantel mirror entirely veneered in elm burr, Lombardy, third decade of the 19th century. Attributable to the production of Paolo Moschini, a skilled inlayer and cabinetmaker active between Soncino, his native town, and Milan in the first half of the 19th century. Front with projecting architrave and plinths, connected by double columns finely fluted and embellished with gilded wood capitals, the upper ones carved with frets and acanthus leaves. Base edges and architrave threaded in amaranth, column profiles threaded in ebony. Central mercury mirror placed inside a frame.
