Description:
Elegant and solid coffee pot of Italian manufacture (h. 26 cm) made in Milan in solid sterling silver, 800 grade. Embossed by the well-known, award-winning silversmith Giuseppe Silva (Silvart) between 1968 and 1971 (the year the company closed). Decorated with shells and leaf motifs embossed like the decoration of the lid handle (photo n°9): the contrast between the gilded and silvered parts is very striking. It is 26 cm high, the measurement between the handle and the spout is 20 cm, the bottom measures Ø10 cm while the body, which measures Ø16 cm, is decorated in the lower part with light and dark silver pods (photo n°8) while, in the center, there is a shield for the insertion of initials. The lid can be removed for cleaning (photo n°4). Hallmarked on the bottom: we find 800 inside the oval (the silver mark), a hexagon with a little star, the silversmith number (844), the initials of the province (Mi) and, embossed, the signature G. Silva (photo n°10). It is in perfect condition. Gr.830.
