Rare painting depicting the Basilica of Santa Maria in Ara Coeli in Rome. In the foreground, the marble staircase and the Medieval settlement demolished during the construction of the Vittorio Emanuele II Monument. Period: Late 19th Century - early 20th Century. Painting inspired by the work of the Danish painter Christoffer Wilhelm Eckersberg, created around 1814 and kept at the National Museum of Copenhagen. Canvas measurements: 100 x 70 cm
