MASSANI Pompeo

Beautiful oil on panel by the Florentine painter Pompeo Massani depicting a girl reading a letter. Signed in red in the upper right, the panel measures 29.5 x 55.5. Pompeo Massani was born in Florence in 1850, and his works include portraits of King Vittorio Emanuele and portraits of the Countess of Mirafiore. He died in Florence in 1920.
