Cesare Riesch

A very particular painting, perhaps a little melancholic: a carousel on the extreme outskirts of the city. I knew the painter: he was a friend of mine, not at all a sad person, quite the opposite; but perhaps he hid a bit of melancholy behind his smile. He exhibited this painting in a show in Texas in the Sixties: he may have painted it right there, I didn't ask him. (Cesare Riesch - Florence 1906-1981) Dimensions: cm. 88 x h.108.
