A particular and unique example of a Persian Gabbeh carpet, woven by the Gashgai nomads in south-central Persia during the Shah's reign. A collector's item.
It depicts a large lion, symbol of the Pahlavi dynasty, made in a very simple, naive way, but accompanied by a dedication written and woven into the carpet: "Hossein of Mashad dyed the wools of this carpet, also Ali, and the girl Mansureh knotted it on the teaching of Hossein of Mashad."
