This valuable top was made in the central Italian area in the 18th century. It consists of a circular base composed of various combinations of polychrome marbles that create a highly effective chromatic frame within which is inserted a marquetry decoration depicting a classic vase from which a plant rises, with two peacocks next to it.
The top can be placed on a crystal or plexiglass base, becoming a coffee table or side table, or it can be hung on a wall next to other paintings or sconces.
Very decorative and particularly pleasant for the chromatic combination of marbles, it can be placed, for example, on a base, such as the one proposed in the photo. It is a bronze tripod which, accompanied by this top, becomes a gueridon with a great scenic effect.
