This chest was made in China at the beginning of the 20th century. The structure is made of lacquered wood in brown tones with fine decorations of phytomorphic motifs and golden butterflies. The chest has side handles and a lid closure, which can be opened with a flap, with a bronze lock. The base on which the chest rests is made of black lacquered wood and is shaped with a mixtilinear design in the lower part and in the legs.
This highly decorative object can easily be placed in environments with antique or modern furnishings. Useful as a container, curious as a decorative object, with a crystal placed on top, it can also be used as a coffee table.
