Modesto Faustini (Brescia 1839 – Roma 1891)

Portrait of Arnaldo Bresciano Faustini, son of the author of the work. Pencils on paper measuring 36.5 x 44.5 cm with scattered small foxing spots, in a contemporary gilded frame. In the lower right, authentication by Gemma Faustini dated 22/10/1976, attributing the portrait to the year 1876. It should be noted that young Arnaldo would later become one of the most authoritative scientists in the field of Earth's poles, contributing with his studies to the explorations of the first half of the twentieth century.
