Oil on canvas by Gino Albieri (Cavarzere 1881-Venice 1949). He attended courses at the Venice Academy. He spent eight years in Cairo, where he was taught by the Belgian painter van Brugge. Upon returning to Italy in 1913, he created the Art Nouveau decorations for the Zago theater in Loreo. At the outbreak of the war, he was commissioned to reconstruct, in a series of paintings, the actions of his brigade under Mount Hermada. After the war, he moved to Rome, where he was authorized to create eighteen canvases depicting the M1 airship, which can be considered the first Italian works of aeropainting.
