Item Description
Pair of sketches. Preparatory drawings depicting a pair of putti intent on playing the flute and the violin. The figures are drawn with a swift and sure hand, the sweet figures express tenderness and simplicity, they play with concentration a probable melody in a larger and more complex composition. The figurines appear round and nude, the hair falls lightly on the shoulders of one while it does not appear in the other. Although they are only preparatory drawings, they convey great strength and precision, both composite and in proportions, denoting a certain mastery in the author. Presented in golden frames.
