Imposing and sumptuous Empire-Directoire style wardrobe/cupboard in solid walnut, built in the Emilian region at the beginning of the 19th century. A highly commissioned piece, extremely solid and substantial, with proportions and dimensions rarely found. It features a banded parallelepiped foot, indicative of the period. Designed from construction to be disassembled, and is in its original patina. Period and functioning hardware is present on both doors. There are shelves inside for its intended use. The interior and back panels are made of poplar wood. It has been completely restored while preserving its original patina. No further restoration is recommended.
