Graceful and elegant
Inlaid Baroque Chest,
in solid walnut and cherry wood inlays,
enriched with threading and plant motifs,
in field maple, built in the Lombard-Venetian area,
in the second half of the 17th century and perfectly restored in patina.
Particular, full-bodied furniture, most likely for dowry use,
with a floral thread in the center and a briar reserve,
reminiscent of the Rotonda della Besana in Milan.
Exalting, the uncovering of the feet in the shape of volutes and shells
and the underfloor grooves with sail motif
enriched by a lateral mirroring.
Superb measurements and proportions.
Hardware present and working.
No restoration recommended.
Viewing and possible collection on site is welcome.
