Spectacular Victorian-era letter box made of wood covered in black leather, enriched with a plate and inserts in engraved sterling silver depicting cherubs. The box bears silver hallmarks attesting to the year and city of manufacture, London in 1900.
Produced by the English company William Comyns & Sons, with a trademark registered since 1890.
The interior is divided into several compartments and pen holders, all lined in green moiré fabric.
