Rare example of a saddle rug from the Gashgai (or Kashkai) nomads, with lanes dyed with plant substances and a leather edge. It was paired with another that, being ruined in the central part, was cut in two, thus obtaining a pair of bedside rugs. Obviously the colors are the same, even if they look a little different in the photos. They were certainly intended as a wedding gift.
