Michael Thonet (Boppard, July 2, 1796 – Vienna, March 3, 1871) was an Austro-Hungarian cabinet maker, one of the protagonists of design in the Victorian period. His children and grandchildren followed in his footsteps until the early 1900s.
The living room dates back to the second half of the 1800s and the first decades of the 1900s.
