Antonio Paoletti (Livorno 1881 – Milan 1943) – Photograph of People
Dimensions: 40x28cm; with frame 60x50cm
Active mainly in Lombardy, he dedicated himself to documenting works of art, public, civil, and industrial buildings. He carried out constant documentation work for the works carried out by AEM and for those designed by the Milanese architect Piero Portaluppi. With his photographs, he "knows how to construct landscapes suspended between man and nature, imposing architectures of light, and create metaphysical atmospheres in nocturnal Milan, or experiment with a realism far from fascist rhetoric" (D'Autilia, History of Photography in Italy from 1839 to today, 2012)
