LA GALLERYA PRESENTS Study of a female nude by the master RICCARDO CORDERO mixed technique TEMPERA AND OIL on paper signed and dated 1966 Riccardo Cordero was born in 1942 in Alba (Cuneo). He graduated in sculpture from the Albertina Academy of Turin, where he later held a professorship until 2000. The presence of countless public works throughout the national and international territory – think of the monumental stainless steel works, from the "Comet" of the Rose Garden in Taiwan to the "Meteor" of the Sculpture Park in Shanghai – make Cordero one of the most well-known and appreciated sculptors in the contemporary art scene. Since 1995 he has been president of the Piedmontese Art Association.
