Lacquered bookcase with gilded friezes

Elegant and decorative bookcase in lacquered and gilded wood, in two sections, with a very spacious lower part and an open-front upper section. Naturalistic-inspired decorations run along the perimeter of the furniture, made in pastiglia and gilded with gold leaf. The furniture probably originates from an antique piece from the late 17th or early 18th century. Modified, enriched, and decorated presumably around the mid-20th century. Maximum dimensions: 156 x 57 cm. Height 285 cm, maximum depth of the upper section 45 cm.
