Chinese red lacquer box, Qing Dynasty, late 18th century

Red lacquered wood with bas-relief technique for rendering the decoration. This consists of a geometric lozenge pattern arranged along the sides of the lid and container. On the ring base frieze with a meander of Greek frets and also on the upper side, framed by a refined landscape all around and flowering trees and figures of dignitaries and servants in motion at the center, Qing Dynasty 18th century.
