JIELDÉ: at the end of 1940, tired of not finding a suitable light for his general mechanical activity, Jean-Luis Domecq designed one. After some trial and error, he found the design in April 1950. It perfectly matches the characteristics: simple, robust and articulated to adapt to all workstations. With this great invention, from 1951 to 1952, he managed to industrialize production. In 1953, he created a company dedicated to the marketing of his lamp and whose initials make the name: Ji el Dé.
From that date, this lamp called "Standard" by customers, never ceased to be produced and to evolve. He died in 1983, and will not see, in 1990, its successes achieved with the "Standard". Floor lamp, reading lamp, wall lamp, bright colors, the Standard became Loft.
