Splendid noble wedding chest in carved and inlaid walnut with maple.
Lid with finely carved scalloped edge and profiled by a toothed band.
Elegant façade of architectural line marked by a pilaster in the center and two lateral inlaid with foliage to frame two rectangular panels profiled by frames with dense teeth.
Each is decorated with a mixtilinear reserve with volutes containing a male and a female profile carved within a medallion and facing the coat of arms placed in the center.
The sides are decorated with a similar panel that frames a motif of three small rose windows within a reserve.
Shaped base with an elegant geometric carving that follows the movement of the three pilasters.
The two lateral pilasters rest on magnificent cantilever feet richly carved with the sunflower within multiple borders.
Magnificent internal hinges in the guise of a Florentine lily.
Original fully functional lock complete with contemporary key.
The chest is in excellent condition and we present it still in patina, before any restoration work to be assessed with the customer and that will be limited to cleaning with non-aggressive products and to the final polishing with beeswax.
