Oil painting on panel depicting the external apse of San Fermo by Mario Paolo Pajetta, dated 1929.
Mario Paolo Pajetta: Genoa 1890 – Verona 1977.
Coming from a family of painters where he received his primary artistic training, Mario Paolo Pajetta moved to Venice after his gymnasium studies, where he was a student of Luigi Nono.
During the years of the First World War, the painter moved first to Turin and then to Milan, and despite offers from Paris, he preferred the tranquility of Verona. A skillful draftsman, also active as an illustrator, although his most significant production is found in the field of landscape painting.
In 1940 he participated in the Venice Biennale with a self-portrait. A painter with a strong character, we often find his paintings signed M.P Pajeta with a single "t" to distinguish himself from the rest of the family of painters.
The painting measures 32 x 20 cm without frame.
