Important Corpus Christi in poplar wood with strong expressive power in all its details. From various stylistic elements, such as the beard, the drapery, the limbs, it can be deduced that it was executed within the mid-15th century, in the late Gothic period, a time in which Lombardy, led by Gian Galeazzo Visconti, wanted to unify Lombardy to all of northern Italy.
The size, the era and the carving make this sculpture of the dead CHRIST truly significant and rare.
