Antique large Persian carpet MALAYER - n. 1094 -

Beautiful example of Malayer, one of the most famous antique Persian carpets, often in large sizes because it was intended for important halls. This one has the classic blue background enclosed in a red garland and four borders to highlight the quality of the carpet. The design is a very stylized floral, repeated throughout the field, typical of Malayer. It measures cm. 350 x 162. As always, I am available for furnishing advice.
