Lombard, Cremonese walnut chest, measuring 60 x 150 x 53 cm, from the second half of the 17th century.
This rich walnut chest was made in the Lombardy area in the 17th century.
The curved base rests on heavy front feet carved with lion's paw, with a pod decoration featuring high-relief chiaroscuro carving.
The front is divided into a single area in solid walnut where, in the center, there is a carving composed of a circular coat of arms inserted in a circular frame with an architectural setting.
Under a broken pediment with volutes, two extremely elegant caryatids flank it.
The overhang of the opening top is underlined by a toothed band that continues on the sides, while the rest of the cabinet is always constructed with solid walnut.
