Antique, splendid example of a Caucasian KAZAK rug with a "botteh" (almond) design. The polychromy of the colors stands out against the blue background (much better than in the photo!), and the "abrash" (horizontal color striations) increase its charm. The state of preservation is, to say the least, perfect. It's one of the rugs I love in my collection. I believe it dates back to the very early 1900s.
It measures cm. 192 x 124.
