I believe that this rug dates back to the late nineteenth century, but I always prefer to be cautious.
It still has its original color gradation, where brown predominates in the field. Personally, I love the "abrash", those particular shades of color, and I share the opinion of some scholars that they are desired by the weaver to give more depth to the carpet. However, it is usually believed that the prepared color was not enough to dye all the wool, so other was used. We must not forget that these carpets were woven by nomads who lived in the mountains.
