PLEASE NOTE: Also sold individually at the price of €150.00 each. Group of four "Spaghetti" vases designed by Gaetano Pesce in 1995 for the Fish Design collection. Marked on the base in capital letters "Fish Design – Gaetano Pesce". Dimensions: Height 14 cm Diameter 9.5 cm Entirely made of soft colored resin in shades of purple, green, red and blue, these vases exemplify the research of the famous designer from La Spezia, Gaetano Pesce (1939 -) regarding this unusual material, opening the way in the mid-1990s for the use of resin as a material for creating design products. The vases here are characterized by organically derived forms, constantly evolving from whatever perspective they are viewed, almost as if they were living organisms with filamentous appearances and surprising transparency. The empirical concretion of the material used allows for playing on pleasant chiaroscuro contrasts, giving the vases a plastic, sculptural connotation. We report a passage by Andrea Corsi who tells us about the birth of Fish Design: "(...) After several experiences in different fields in 2003 I met the person who completely changed my life: Gaetano Pesce. Working with him opened my eyes and mind to the world of art and artisanry. Watching him play with his material (resin), made me want to be part of that world. I discovered the secrets and tools for working with resin, I challenged myself to experiment, I made many mistakes but I am still here trying to create wonderful objects, never seen before, working with international designers and professionals."
