This is among the most precious items ever produced by the famous Russian manufactory, in this case made by one of the most famous goldsmiths in Moscow. The works of Gustav Klingert are, in fact, among the most sought after in the international market for these jewels. The coloring, brilliance and varied shades of this service are of an incredible level. The workmanship of the thousands of enameled cells is so meticulous that each cell is in turn worked in different colors. The prices of some single Klingert cups, sold at the most prestigious auctions, always reach exceptional quotations. Also noteworthy is the particular curved edge with a superior cord finish. We guarantee the authenticity and the perfect state of preservation. Gustav Klingert (1865-1916) Biography Gustav Klingert, of German origin, began his career working as a master for Fabergé. In 1865 he founded his factory in Moscow, employing over 20 craftsmen. In 1889 he exhibited at the Universal Exposition in Paris, where his works were a great success. Four years later, at the Chicago World's Fair, Klingert was recognized as one of Russia's most important goldsmiths. Thanks to the great success, the company began exporting its works to the United States through Tiffany & Co. In 1896 Gustav Klingert was granted the Imperial Warrant. After Gustav's retirement, the business was carried on by his sons, until it was forced to close due to the outbreak of the Russian Revolution.
