The antique painting is signed Leleux Armand, a French painter. Leleux Armand Hubert Simon (1818-1895) was born in Paris and was a student of Ingres,
with whom he took a trip to Rome. He exhibited at the "Salon De Paris" where he received many medals in 1844, 1847, 1848 and 1859.
He stayed in Germany and Switzerland where he participated in all the exhibitions of these countries. His interiors are highly appreciated.
On the back of the painting, on the wooden panel, there is a date written July 1876 and the place where it was painted, in the "Château de Tarasp Grisons Suisse" in Switzerland.
The antique painting has a gilded frame in pure gold leaf, original and contemporary with the antique work.
