Persian SHIRAZ carpet with Bokara design - no. 958

Shiraz specimen of old manufacture, with a particular Bokara design in blue tones on a mauve background. It is customary to find dark tones in nomadic carpets, to rest the eyes from the strong sunlight of central-southern Iran. In compensation, the weaver has also used a blue obtained from indigo. It measures cm. 162 x 136: almost square. Can be placed anywhere, but if possible in an area exposed to light, to highlight the colors. The price is interesting, due to business closure.
