Veronese Luigi XIV chest SOLD

Important Veronese chest with the classic two-panel front between three pilasters and three butterfly legs underneath. This type, which distinguishes the production of the Adige Valley, also includes the pilaster with the central leg and, in the most important creations, an inlaid decoration to embellish the front. The very elegant piece of furniture has an inlaid front with medallions and racemes, while the three supporting shelves at the base of the pilasters are carved and sculpted. The chest is complete with a working lock, hinges and original side handles.
