Archaeological finds and documents establish the beginning of ceramic production in Albisola in the last quarter of the 15th century. In the 1950s, Albisola was recognized as the capital of ceramics. And even today, many renowned artists frequent Albisola, relying on the factories (mostly small and often family-run) that are still active.
The vase can be dated to around the late 1800s and early 1900s.
