Rare and unmissable,
Chest of drawers with Luigi XVI inlaid fall-front desk, Rolo style,
made of solid walnut and various wood inlays (maple, cherry, plum, etc.),
built in Rolo (RE) between the end of the 18th and the beginning of the 19th century.
Incredible piece of furniture for its shape and dimensions,
with a squared design.
The sides enclosing the fall-front desk,
have inlaid plum wood panels,
surrounded by maple wood fillets,
all obtained with knife work,
on solid wood called "a buio".
The open top also highlights,
the internal construction of the writing desk,
with four flush drawers,
that conceal compartments with various secrets.
Supported by four truncated pyramid legs, with a marked groove.
The oval handles have a spiral-shaped pendant ring.
Original and working hardware. Interiors and linings in poplar and fir.
Perfectly preserved in original patina.
