View of Pavia
Oil on canvas 60x79 cm

The canvas is part of a pair of twin paintings depicting views of Pavia from the mid-19th century, by the painter Francesco Trecourt, brother of the portrait painter Giacomo Trecourt.
It depicts the view of Pavia from the Ticino river with the port and Ponte Vecchio in the background, one can also notice the boat "Countess Clementina" in service on the Pavia-Venice line from 1844 to 1859.
Some works by Francesco Trecourt are kept at the Civic Museums of Pavia.
