Igni Torino (1935 - 1945) Girl with geese
The Igni Torino manufactory founded by the Turin ceramist Lionello Franchini was already active at the end of 1935. The name as the brand refers to the fire, one of the four elements that contribute to creating ceramics. The realization of particularly appreciated and sought-after models is contributed by first-rate artists, already active at Lenci, such as Camillo Ghigo, Ines Grande, Claudia Formica, Otto Maraini, also collaborations with Abele Jacopi and Giovanni Grande. The models vary from profane subjects to those of a devotional nature. The manufactory existed for about a decade and then succumbed to the war crisis.
