Pair of vase-shaped palm-holders dating back to the Neoclassical period (late 1700s).
Gilt with gold leaf only on the front; as was customary in ancient times, since the visible part, once placed on the altar, was only the front and the gold leaf cost a lot...they rightly tried to save money.
The state of conservation is excellent, they are practically ready to be mounted as lamps or simply to enrich a piece of furniture in your home with taste and originality.
They measure 25 cm in height and the square base is 11.5x11.5 cm.
