River Landscape Painting with Architecture

Oil on canvas. Of large size and octagonal shape, the canvas features a landscape inscribed in a painted frame with friezes, falling into the category of eighteenth-century painting conceived for furnishing purposes. The scene is set near a river, on whose bank rise architectural ruins of classical structures, which stand majestically over the figures of popular characters animating the scene. The painting, already restored and relined, has several small holes, paint losses and diffuse spots. Product Condition: Product in good condition, has small signs of wear.
